I barely made it through the holidays. We shot on Wednesday and Thursday and then went to a family party Thursday night with a million kids, OK it was only 8 but it sounded and felt like a million and one of the little virus infested creatures gave me a cold. I woke up super early on Friday and I wasn’t feeling hot but I had a dinner to put on so I shopped for food and finished wrapping gifts and then got on the road with the Escalade filled to the brim with presents and my two dogs and me and my husband’s luggage and oh yeah, that damn virus rode along quite happily in my lungs. Christmas Eve we went to Seal Beach with friends and family and then spent the night at my in-law’s. We woke up and opened up tons of gifts and then promptly loaded the Escalade back up along with the dogs and oh yeah, that virus was with me for the ride home. I then had to finish setting the table and got the food ready for my Christmas Dinner. The in-law’s and sister in law then spent the night with us so the guest rooms and bathrooms had to be all set up. The day after Christmas we had a big breakfast and then after cleaning that up I made lunch while watching football and then we all crashed on the couch to watch a movie. By the end of the night of the 26th I thought I was going to pass out. Me, Niquil, and my buddy virus went to bed. I didn’t wake up until noon today. Bah humbug. Actually, I am feeling a little better and even though I was sick, my Christmas went very well. The best thing was even though I was running around like crazy I would periodically check my email and so many of you out there sent me the kindest messages and wishes. You are the ones that put a smile on my face and made me appreciate the holiday 🙂

We had a rip roaring Christmas party for the company on Saturday. We had filet mignon, wine, champagne, bread pudding, and did I mention wine? Well we had a lot of it and we had Tim from Texas and his wife, her brother Brion who also works for us doing kellyfind.com and the hometown crew. Everyone was dressed to the nines and had a fun time. We had a money wheel where we let everyone spin for dollars. The party of 14 won over $2,500 in cash and and prizes, mainly cash which is a good thing. Who doesn’t love cash? It was a great party and most importantly, everyone got home safely due to designated drivers and cabs. I wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂

I was going to take my husband for his 34th birthday to the St. Regis Hotel in Monarch Beach and get a couples massage, dinner and beautiful night away from work but no, he wanted to work on his birthday so I met him afterward for a manicure and pedicure down the street and then to a local pub/restaurant to watch the Chargers game and to have some beers and chicken wings. He was a cheap date. What can I do with a work-a-holic like him 🙂

Much needed was my weekend. I finished decorating my tree with a gazillion peacock decorations. I was at one point hanging off the tree on my tippy toes on top of the ladder trying to put up a big fat bird on the very top of the tree while on cold medicine. I got that bitch up there and it does look good even if I did risk life and limb. I finished cleaning my house and I ordered some Christmas gifts online and I feel quite accomplished. I even went on Sunday to the Apple store and got a new computer for my office manager and took my dog Trey to doggy beach and did some other errands. I usually shoot on the weekends so it was nice to have both Saturday and Sunday to get personal stuff done. I am ready to take on the new week. We are launching our new site so there are always issues and stuff to fix. I just have to keep it in perspective and with the good comes the bad. Ryan actually enjoys taking on problems and fixing them. He is so challenged oriented. Thank god I have him. Sometimes I just want to pull the blankets over my head and lay in bed with my doggies. Wouldn’t you? Look how cute they are…

Crazy day, that’s for sure! Went down to pick up my 12foot flocked Noble Christmas tree and could barely fit it in my truck. I then got it home and the dudes at the tree place put the stand on wrong so it was all cattywhompus. Ryan had to drill into our wall and secure a hook and a rope around the trunk to keep the giant thing upright. My water heater went out and I barely made the warranty by one day! The thing was purchased on Dec. 10, 2004 and it started to leak a day before the expiration of the 6 year warranty. That saved me $2600 but the install cost me $1700! I am quitting porn and becoming a plumber…
Well, I got the tree standing upright, I got some lights put on and then it was time to get ready to shoot. I did a Breast Appreciation Xmas style and it goes up next week. I swear I had so many people coming in and out of my house today and so many phone calls and big disasters and mini disasters. Hopefully the rest of my weekend won’t be so crazy. But then again, I kind of create my own craziness.
