I just landed in Manzanillo and I have never landed in an airport where the landing strip is literally on the beach. I saw the waves crashing outside my window as we touched down. I am so spoiled, I got to fly first class which I adore. The free drinks, the extra room and the excellent service in my opinion is worth it. Call me crazy because it is the same damn plane whether you are going first class or coach but I tell ya, I feel safer. Hey, I can come up with a lot of justifications as to why I should spend extra money, just ask my husband 🙂
I am off to go explore and check into my hotel room. I don’t have internet access so I’ll post this once I get to the hotel. All I can tell you now is that it is humid and warm. Everything looks very tropical. We are now in the car on our way to the resort. There are banana plantations as far as the eye can see and they are dotted with coconut trees. I just asked the driver if there are any monkeys but he said no. That kind of bums me out. But then again, I’ve got this monkey sitting beside me and I really really like eating his big banana!
